Where connection becomes action. The Lab is our interactive learning space designed for interns who are passionate about building bridges between our organization and the communities we serve. This Community Engagement & Support track equips interns in Advocacy & Outreach and Volunteer Coordination with the tools, values, and hands-on experience to foster meaningful relationships, amplify community voice, and strengthen our collective impact. More than a training program, The Lab is a space to learn, reflect, and take action—where interpersonal skills meet community-centered strategy. Inside The Lab, you’ll explore: ✅ Our organizational mission, values, and trauma-informed approach to engagement ✅ Strategies for effective outreach, advocacy, and trust-building with diverse communities ✅ Tools for recruiting, supporting, and celebrating volunteers ✅ Real-world scenarios in community event planning, public messaging, and mobilization ✅ Reflection prompts that deepen your understanding of power, equity, and impact You’ll move through the program at your own pace, earn a Certificate of Completion, and come away equipped to engage with care, lead with purpose, and support the heart of our community work—people.
