Light the Way - Suicide Prevention Awareness Fair

Light the Way: Suicide Prevention Awareness Fair is a free, youth-led community event created by the Youth Program Ambassadors to bring teens, young adults, families, and community supporters together for an afternoon centered on awareness, hope, support, and action.

Mental health can be difficult to talk about, especially when you are worried about a friend, don't know what to say, or aren't sure where to turn for help. Light the Way is designed to make those conversations easier by creating a welcoming environment where young people can learn, connect, ask questions, discover resources, and build practical skills for supporting themselves and others.

Throughout the event, participants will have opportunities to learn about mental health and emotional wellness, suicide prevention, warning signs, protective factors, healthy help-seeking behaviors, peer support, and ways to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
