

Position Overview:
Are you a creative, detail-oriented individual with a passion for marketing and storytelling? Step's Foundation, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Coordinator Intern to support our nonprofit’s marketing and communications efforts. This is a remote-friendly position, where you will collaborate virtually with our team while creating impactful content that highlights the stories and successes of the youth and families we serve.
As a Marketing Coordinator Intern, you will help develop and implement marketing strategies, manage social media content, and assist in storytelling initiatives. Our program and outreach teams will provide you with photos, videos, and key information to help you create engaging content that aligns with our branding and messaging guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation: Design and schedule social media posts that reflect the mission and vision of Step’s Foundation, Inc.

Newsletter Management: Assist in drafting and distributing newsletters that showcase program updates, success stories, and upcoming events.

Storytelling and Impact Sharing: Help craft compelling narratives using stories, photos, and videos submitted by staff members working directly with students and families.

Social Media Strategy: Support the execution of our social media strategy, ensuring consistent messaging and audience engagement across platforms.

Marketing Plan Execution: Assist in implementing the organization’s marketing plan to maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels.

Graphic Design: Use Canva to design visually engaging graphics for digital platforms, newsletters, and campaigns.

Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, track, and report on social media and newsletter engagement metrics to help inform and improve future marketing efforts.
Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).

Familiarity with Canva for graphic design (required).

Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance tracking tools is a plus.

Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
