  • Community Outreach: Participate in community events, outreach activities, and program delivery at various locations where Step’s Foundation, Inc. operates.

  • Advocacy and Awareness: Assist in creating and promoting campaigns that raise awareness about mental health issues and available resources for youth and families.

  • Content Development: Contribute to the development of educational materials, social media content, and outreach tools that align with mental health education goals.

  • Tracking and Reporting: Help document participation, engagement levels, and feedback from program activities to support continuous improvement and reporting needs.

Qualifications:

  • Genuine passion for mental health advocacy and youth empowerment.

  • Comfortable speaking in group settings and engaging peers in discussions about mental health and wellness.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to work both at the school site in Kissimmee and at community locations for outreach and program delivery.

  • Reliable, organized, and committed to maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment.

  • Interest or coursework in psychology, social work, education, public health, or a related field is preferred.

Benefits of the Internship:

  • Direct experience in peer education, mental health advocacy, and community outreach.

  • Opportunities for professional development and mentorship from experienced mental health professionals and educators.

  • Skill-building in public speaking, facilitation, and community engagement.

  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments.

  • The chance to play a vital role in reducing mental health stigma and empowering youth and families.
