Are you passionate about youth advocacy, mental health, and community engagement? Step's Foundation, Inc. is seeking a motivated and organized Volunteer Coordinator Intern for a dynamic hybrid role. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in volunteer management, community outreach, and nonprofit operations.
As a Volunteer Coordinator Intern, you will help recruit, train, and engage volunteers, while working alongside our team at community events, outreach initiatives, and onsite activities. This role is ideal for individuals interested in nonprofit leadership, event coordination, and youth-focused service programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Volunteer Recruitment: Assist in identifying volunteer needs and developing strategies to recruit volunteers who share our mission of supporting youth and families.

Onboarding and Training: Help facilitate the volunteer onboarding process, including orientation sessions and training activities.

Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and maintain volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage for programs, events, and outreach activities.

Community Engagement: Represent Step's Foundation, Inc. at community events, outreach initiatives, and other in-person activities to promote volunteer opportunities and build partnerships.

Volunteer Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive environment for volunteers, providing ongoing support, recognition, and engagement opportunities.

Tracking and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation, track volunteer hours, and assist in preparing reports on volunteer impact.

Resource Development: Support the creation and refinement of volunteer training materials and program resources.
Qualifications:

Strong passion for youth advocacy, mental health, and community engagement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse community members and volunteers.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Proficiency in G-Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and other relevant software.

Willingness to work both remotely and in the community at events and outreach activities.

Adaptable, collaborative, and eager to learn in a team-oriented environment.

Interest or coursework in nonprofit management, social work, communications, or related fields is preferred.
