It might seem like the best way to study is to sit down and power through everything
without stopping. The longer you study, the more you get done… right?
Not exactly.
Studying for too long without a break can actually make it harder to focus, remember information, and stay motivated. That is why taking breaks is not just helpful, it is necessary. Giving your brain time to rest can make your study sessions more effective and a lot less stressful.
Your brain needs a reset
Have you ever been studying and suddenly realized you have read the same sentence three times without understanding it?
That is usually a sign your brain is tired.
When you take a short break, you give your mind a chance to reset. When you come back, it is easier to focus and actually understand what you are studying instead of just staring at the page.
